Prestige and accolades come in many forms, but for Chapman Honda in Tucson, it comes in the form of the coveted President’s Award from American Honda Motor Co., Inc. And not just for one year – this is the third year in a row the dealership has been recognized with this prestigious award.

Presented annually to the top Honda dealers in the nation, the President’s Award is based on achievement of excellence in all facets of operation, including customer service and satisfaction, sales, training and facility management. Less than 5 percent of dealers nationally are honored with this award.

“Since its inception in 1995, the President’s Award has been recognizing top dealers who are unwavering in their pursuit of excellence and customer care. The team members of Chapman Honda in Tucson have proven their dedication to their customers by achieving the rigorous standards established for this award,” said John Mendel, executive vice president of Automobile Sales for Honda. “We are extremely proud of their accomplishments and invite you to experience for yourself the advantage of doing business with an award-winning Honda dealership.”

Each year, the standards for achieving the President’s Award are raised, which means staff must work harder to earn excellence in all areas of operations. The team at Chapman Honda makes it a priority to earn the President’s Award, which means customers will receive exceptional service in all facets of interaction at the dealership.

“It’s indeed an honor to be included in the exclusive list of Arizona Honda dealers in the state who can claim that they are President’s Award Winners. Our team placed such a high value on reaching our goal this year, and we’ll continue to be the best that we can possibly be,” said Neb Yonas, General Manager Chapman Honda.

Chapman Honda Tucson carries a full inventory of new Honda’s for sale, including the Honda Odyssey and the revolutionary CR-Z Sport Hybrid, along with alternative-fuel vehicles such as the Civic Hybrid sedan and the Civic GX NGV (natural-gas vehicle). The dealership also features pre-owned Honda cars, trucks, minivans, and SUVs to fit any budget. For more information on these and all of Honda’s award-winning vehicles, visit www.chapmanhonda.com.

2014 Honda CR-Z

With fuel economy becoming more and more important to drivers, it’s not surprising that many of the available hybrids are among the most common body types in the automotive market. However, in the 2014 Honda CR-Z, Honda has taken two doors and three seats away, leaving one of the sportiest looking hybrids available. Although the 2014 CR-Z has not yet been released, the two-passenger hatchback coupe will make the experience of driving a hybrid more exciting than ever before.

The 2014 CR-Z  hybrid comes with a 6-speed manual transmission which, when paired with a 1.5-liter engine and 15 kilowatt electric motor, is capable of 38 mpg highway* fuel economy. Sport pedals and an aluminum shift knob add to the sporty feel of the CR-Z and to the fact that the vehicle is the exact opposite of typical hybrids.

Another feature that is expected to make a return in 2014 is the Plus Sport System complete with an engine-priming button on the steering wheel. You can visit a Tucson Honda dealership to check out the Plus Sport System in the 2013 model. Once the button is hit, the engine is juiced up for a burst of speed which can be used to pass slower vehicles, or just for fun. Consumers are also likely to enjoy the three-mode driving system, previously available on other Honda models. The modes alter a variety of different systems in the car to cater to different driving styles.

The future of sports hybrids is the 2014 Honda CR-Z, and it won’t be long before you can stop into Chapman Honda and find out how it is changing the way hybrids are viewed. It has not been released yet, but it is expected to hit showroom floors very soon.
