2016 Honda CR-V

Compact Crossover Continues Sales Crush

The Honda CR-V, one of the best reviewed compact crossovers in America, kept setting sales records in August as buyers continue to fall in love with its look, comfort, performance and utility. The CR-V helped Honda to a good sales month in spite of industry concerns that a slowdown is imminent. Honda sold more than 36,500 CR-Vs for a 5 percent increase from August of 2015. “Our continued success with strong sales of both passenger cars and light trucks demonstrates once again that the key to great sales is a great product,” according to Honda senior vice president Jeff Conrad. “As we continue with our rapid cadence of new models, our focus will remain on selling vehicles one at a time to individual customer.” For a great buying experience from a dealership that treats you as a valued customer, head on over to Chapman Honda.

Along with the CR-V, the truck division includes the HR-V, Odyssey minivan, Pilot and Crosstour. The HR-V had the largest sales jump in the division, rising 66 percent from last August. Car sales show the Fit commuter subcompact with the largest increase at 85 percent, with the popular Civic also showing a slight bump upwards. Honda has sold just under a million vehicles through August for 2016.

2017 Honda Fit

Third Generation Now on Sale

Head to Chapman Honda and help celebrate the 10th birthday of the subcompact Honda Fit, the perfect urban commuter vehicle for people who like value and efficiency. The versatile Fit is the industry leader in its class for both passenger and cargo volume. Because of the innovative Magic Seat, the Honda can accommodate up to five passengers or as much as 52.7 cubic feet of cargo. This makes it the perfect car to be part of the office carpool during the week and hit the yard sales on the weekend. The Fit is designed so that people in the back seat can spread out, with leg room greater than many mid-size vehicles.

Space-efficient Design Combines With Rigid Chassis

The 2017 Honda Fit looks great on the outside with a stylish design and plenty of room, but the key is the rigid chassis and long wheelbase. Along with providing more interior room, the length of the vehicle and its stiff structure provides superior handling that makes the driver feel integrated with the vehicle. The Earth Dreams technology 1.5L 4-cylinder engine works with either a manual 6-speed or automatic transmission with G-Shift Control to deliver the most fuel efficiency and performance possible. The engine is a Honda first, combining a DOHC cylinder head and valve and timing control with fuel injection to provide up to 40 mpg on the highway while still generating a healthy 130 horsepower.

Offered in Three Trim Packages

Whether you just want the basic transportation model or don’t mind paying a little extra for some luxury, the Honda Fit has all bases covered. The LX model with a 6-speed transmission starts at just $15,990 and still has features like automatic headlights, Bluetooth connectivity, LED brake lights and a spacious console that doubles as an arm rest. Move up to the EX and EX-L models and more goodies become available, including push button start, power moonroof, touchscreen infotainment system and heated leather seats.

Fit Safety is Priority One

Because it is a subcompact car, Honda engineers have included a number of extra safety features to make sure you and your passengers get home safely each night. Along with the rigid chassis that diverts energy away from the cockpit, the Fit also has a number of active and passive safety features that contributed to it earning a 5-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Active safety features include stability assistance, rearview camera and brake assist. Passive features such as dual-stage airbags, 3-point seat belts with an automatic tensioning system and child-proof rear door locks help reduce or eliminate injuries.
