With a more powerful engine, advanced cabin communication features and a quiet ride not experienced in other minivans, the new Honda Odyssey is now ready for a test drive at Chapman Honda. The 2018 Odyssey has been redesigned from the ground up, offering the ultimate in family flexibility just in time for summer vacation.

New Engine Provides More Power, Efficiency

The new 3.5L 24-valve direct fuel injection V6 engine comes with Variable Cylinder Management, a system that shuts down some of the cylinders once you reach cruising speed. The cylinders leap into action again when called upon, delivering both power and fuel efficiency. The new Honda Odyssey has earned an outstanding rating of 28 mpg on the highway from the EPA, and 22 mpg in combined highway and city driving. Depending on the trim level you select, you’ll receive either a 9-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission, making the most out of each gear range as you accelerate for quick passing or cruise effortlessly down the highway.

Magic Slide Seats Enable Flexibility

The ability to remove and slide the second row seats into multiple positions makes configuring your new Honda Odyssey for the day’s travels a snap. You can slide the outboard seats into five different positions, making easy access to the third row or more room for hauling groceries or the day’s yard sale finds. Utilize the Buddy Mode to move the two seats close to each other in the center of the van. It’s perfect for double-dating or keeping your eyes on little children.

Talk With, and Watch, the Kids

Utilizing two all new features, drivers and front passengers can keep an eye on what’s going on in the rear of the van, as well as communicate with those in both the second and third rows. CabinWatch puts “eyes” on the people in back with a display on the 8-inch infotainment center. CabinTalk utilizes the Odyssey’s speaker system to let the driver and passengers talk to each other.

Quiet Ride is Less Exhausting

The new Honda Odyssey is the perfect minivan for summer road trips for many reasons, not the least of which is its extreme quietness. Honda engineers made providing a quiet ride one of their top priorities, so the Odyssey is outfitted with a tightly-sealed body that utilizes triple seals on the doors and acoustic laminated glass in the windshield and front side windows. Acoustic spray foam throughout the body helps eliminate road noise and reduce the stress on the driver and passengers during those long road trips. With a new turbocharged high-performance engine that pumps out 205 horsepower, the Honda Civic Si is putting a fresh face on an old standard. Long considered one of the most dependable forms of transportation on the planet, the Civic has a fresh face with the introduction of the 2017 Honda Civic Si. Put a smile on your face by taking a test drive today at Chapman Honda.

Ambitious Remake of Civic Lineup

With both a coupe and sedan from which to choose, the new Honda Civic Si is part of the most ambitious remake of the Civic lineup in the model’s 44-year history. You’ve heard the phrase “those Hondas will run forever”? Well now Honda has added a whole new level of fun to go along with their legendary dependability. Along with more power, both the sedan and coupe are much lighter than previous models, 96 pounds in the case of the sedan and 113 for the coupe. With a rigid body, upgraded chassis and adaptive power steering with variable ratios, the handling of these two beauties is off the hook.

Stylish Design Pleasing and Aggressive

The happy little Civic hatchback of days gone by would shiver in fear at the sight of its latest siblings. The new Civic Si greets you with an aggressive looking fascia punctuated by the iconic Honda wing logo. Eighteen-inch wheels and low-profile tires created a muscular stance, while a full-length light bar and spoiler put an exclamation point on the end of the package. Bolstered front seats keep you firmly in place as you power around corners. They’re accented by bright red stitching, including embroidered Si logos for a touch of class. A leather shift boot, leather wrapped steering wheel and aluminum pedals deliver the look of a real race car.

Plenty of Standard Features

Aside from the sporty performance and aggressive look, one nice thing about the new turbocharged Honda Civic Si is the long list of standard features in both the sedan and coupe. Along with dual climate control, you get heated front seats, push button start, hill start assist and an electric parking brake. Power windows and locks are a given, but perhaps you wouldn’t expect standard cruise control, a capless fuel filler and white ambient lighting. The new Civic Si also includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that controls your communications, audio and air conditioning. The Si also has a powerful 450 watt sound system so you can crank up the tunes while you’re putting the car through its paces. With new features like a Magic Slide second-row seat, sophisticated cabin communication and rear entertainment system that utilizes streaming video, the 2018 Honda Odyssey minivan will be the talk of the town when it arrives soon at Chapman Honda. “This new Odyssey raises the stakes for family-friendly packaging, performance and technology in the minivan segment,” according to Honda VP John Mendel. “In all aspects of its design, the new Odyssey is made to keep every member of the family happy, no matter the seating position, no matter the destination.”

Now the Front Row Can Talk to the Back

With the new CabinTalk communication system, the driver can easily communicate with the second and third rows through the Odyssey’s speakers and entertainment headphones. CabinWatch also lets the driver and front passenger keep their eyes on the kids during day and night travels using the large 8-inch audio screen. When they’re not listening to their parents, the rear passengers can enjoy watching their favorite videos on the 10.2-inch ceiling-mounted displays. The available 4G LTE Wi-Fi lets the passengers stream their favorite video, surf the Internet, listen to podcasts and audio books while communicating with the outside world. Honda’s “How Much Farther?” app lets the kids figure out how long it is until you get there on their own.

Magic Slide Seat Provides Flexibility

Sometimes you need to take the whole softball team for ice cream, while other times you need space to haul that new big screen TV home. With the Honday Odyssey, you get the best of people and cargo hauling. The innovative Magic Slide seat has four different modes for easy configuration. Easy Access mode allows you to remove the center second row seat and slide the outboard seats into five different positions. Super Mode allows maximum access to the third row, while Wide Mode provides a wide center walkway through the second row. Buddy Mode moves the two second seats together with more room on the outside.

Safety Comes First With Odyssey

When the new Honda Odyssey comes to Chapman Honda, make sure and ask about the available suite of safety features. The EX trim level and above will include the Honda Sensing Suite, which includes a collision mitigation braking system, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and much more. Additional features include heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, parking sensors and three-zone automatic climate control. If you like to keep a neat vehicle, you’ll love the onboard HondaVac vacuum system.
