New Honda Fit Offers More Aggressive Styling

With a splash of additional color, some styling designed to appeal to the youth market and the addition of the Honda Sensing Suite, the new Honda Fit is expected to appeal to a wide demographic looking for a fun, sporty commuter. “With sporty new styling and additional feature content, the 2018 Honda Fit ups the ante with new styling and sophistication not typically found in the subcompact segment,” according to Honda VP Jeff Conrad. “Fit has always represented a great value for subcompact customers and the addition of available Honda Sensing to its fun-to-drive performance and unmatched versatility will keep the Honda Fit as the the industry’s benchmark subcompact.” You can see the new Honda Fit later this summer in the showroom at Chapman Honda.

Styling Change Begins at the Front

As with all things, it’s best to begin at the beginning. The beginning of the new Honda Fit is a layered two-piece grille in chrome and black that displays a more prominent Honda logo. The grille expands out into attractive teardrop headlamps that are smoothly integrated into the front fascia. Follow the lines along the sculpted sides to the rear, where the low and wide stance is reminiscent of much more expensive sports cars. Sharp new taillights complete the package.

New Sport Trim Turns Heads

Just above the EX and below the LX trim packages, the Honda Fit Sport delivers an even more aggressive look, with a bold orange splitter on the front and a three-strake diffuser with an orange trim on the back. Sixteen-inch alloy wheels and chrome exhaust add to the modern look. Honda has added a couple of colors to the already dynamic package. Helios Yellow Pearl replaces Mystic Yellow in the lineup, while Orange Fury delivers another choice to help your Fit match your personality.

Honda Sensing Adds Safety

The addition of the availability of the Honda Sensing Suite to the Fit lineup adds new technology designed to help you get from point A to point B safely. Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist and Road Departure Warning are just a few of the sensor and camera-driven features that help avoid collisions. The Fit is now the most affordable car in America with these types of safety features, which offer warnings of impending collisions and then take action if you fail to respond. Check in often with Chapman Honda to see when the new Fit will be available for inspection and a test drive.
